Of German-Austrian origin, Corinna Busch worked for some twenty years in Hollywood as a press and public relations officer and then as a media manager for stars, notably with her friend and mentor, Peter Lindbergh, the famous German fashion photographer, portraitist and film-maker. It was at his side that she discovered her passion for photography.
Now based at the Cote d’Azur, Italy and Spain as a photographer and writer, with this exhibition she focuses on women aged between 60 and 90, with the aim of transforming the way society and the family look at them and their ageing. 15 women have been photographed as a group or individually, in the style of Peter Lindbergh’s photos or by recreating scenes from famous films. The exhibition features 50 unretouched photographs of authentic, natural and unique women.
I decided to host this exhibition, running from March 6th to 31st, 2024 at Espace Miramar in Cannes, as a tribute to the strength and beauty of women aged 60 to 90 years. After spending nearly two decades in Hollywood working with stars and learning from my mentor, Peter Lindbergh, I developed a deep passion for photography.
Now, living at the Cote d’Azur, Tuscany and Spain, I wanted to shift the societal and familial perspectives on aging women. I’ve captured these women authentically, without any retouching, either individually or in groups, in the style of Lindbergh or by recreating scenes from famous films. This exhibition is an endeavour to present these women as they are – natural, unique, and beautiful.
